How to Launch Your Groundwork Form: Set-by-Step Guide

Looking to get your Groundwork form launched? There are several strategies and scenarios to determine how it should be implemented. Here’s a breakdown with details for implementation.

Scenario 1: All Traffic Goes Through the Groundwork Form

Step 1: Replace the current web form with the Groundwork form. This is usually on the contact page.

Step 2: Create call-to-action buttons on the front page. Example:: Get Started, Virtual Estimate, Video-Walkthrough, or Virtual Quote

Step 3: We will send messaging to go by the form. Here's an example of our 3-step messaging:

  • Step 1. Fill out the form below.
  • Step 2. Receive a text with a link to upload a video.
  • Step 3. Upload your video and we’ll get back to you ASAP!

Here's an example of our long-form messaging:

  • Fill out the form below to send us a video of your project. This is the quickest and easiest way to receive some feedback on your project! Once we receive your video submission, we will review your project and get back to you soon!

Step 4: We will send the HTML code.

Step 5: We will send a picture like the one below.

Scenario 2: Book a Call vs Video Walkthrough Call to Actions

Create two options to split traffic.

  • Book a call or Old Contact Form: This will lead to their current options of booking a call or filling out a typical contact form.
  • Video-Walkthrough, Virtual Estimate, Virtual Quote: This will lead to the “Virtual-Walkthrough” or “Contact Us” page with the Groundwork form, messaging, and Image from the above steps.

Scenario 3: Existing Contact Form Triggers Groundwork KickOff Text Using Zapier (Not Recommended)

We can integrate Zapier-friendly forms to trigger a text to the customer. The messaging and call to action should be the same as the above steps. This is an unreliable way of doing things and can cause problems. Here's what we commonly have problems with:

  • The formatting of the phone number can be wrong and not allow the customer to receive a text.
  • The Zap could encounter issues and stop working.
  • The contact form and change and cause issues with the Zap.

Scenario 4: Use a Separate Landing Page for the Groundwork Web Form

Instead of using the Contact Us Page, create a separate landing page for the Groundwork web form. Then, repeat the steps from scenario 1.
