8 Tips to Increase Video Lead Submissions

Searching for ways to encourage prospects to submit project videos? We're the Groundwork Gurus and we have recommendations! Follow these steps to increase the number of videos your leads send.

Tip #1 - Review your Messaging

Keep the message short and simple, highlighting the benefits of shooting a video for your customers. Will having a project video give your customers an estimate faster? Yes! Then let them know.

Here are some quick plug-and-play messages to use:

  • Want a estimate fast? Send us a video.
  • Help us come to the appointment more prepared by sending us a video!
  • Rather than waiting to schedule an appointment, send us a video. We'll respond with thoughts on your project within 24 hours.

Tip #2 - Make it Easy to Access your Groundwork Form

Customers are most successful when they create multiple ways to access the form with Call-to-Action buttons across the site. "Get a Virtual Quote Here" or "Submit a Video Walkthrough Today!" are some examples.

Once customers are on the page, keep the messaging about the virtual quote short and sweet. We want them to stay focused on doing one thing - fill out the form. Here's a good example.


Tip #3 - Add Call-In Leads Too!

Your office/admin staff can add call-in leads to capture a video message. It's best to let the customer know the benefits and prepare them for the process before they receive the text message. Fortunately, we have a script for that that you can find here.


Tip #4 - Customize your Reminder Texts

We find the most success with customers using at least two reminder texts. The first to send the next day and the second to send out two days later. Keep it personal for them by adding the [First Name] smart field!


Tip #5 - Schedule Texts for When They're Free

Send your reminder message when customers are free and at home to make it easier for them to send you a video right away.

Tip #6 - Connect with them through Video

Send your lead a personal video requesting a project walkthrough video. Mentioning their name helps personalize the experience and engage with them instantly.

Tip #7 - Offer Incentives for Uploading a Video

Though this often isn't necessary, if customers are saving you time and money by uploading a video, consider giving some of that back to them for participating.
